The difference between an amateur and a professional squash player is not how hard they can hit it. There's a lot more to the game than just bashing the **** into the ball.

I can also hit a cricket ball harder than many professional cricketers. Is that really so hard to believe?
Omg I swear you make stuff up? When did I say squash is all about power? I said i doubt you would hit the ball harder than a professional. Please do not tell me things about squash that I already know...://

I just find it strange that you think the difference between professional and amateur players is how hard they can hit the ball. :dontknow:

    Where have I said that?

I said I doubt you could hit the ball harder than a professional.....

Not in any way did I say you need 'to hit a ball hard to become a professional'

Do you not see how saying you "doubt how an amateur could possibly hit the ball harder than a professional" is exactly equivalent to saying that "the difference between professional and amateur players is how hard they can hit the ball"?

There is no difference between those statements. They are identical.

Not really because the second statement isnt true? Hence I didn't say it... Im clearly stating I doubt YOU or any amateur could hit the ball harder than a professional.. Very unlikely you have the technique to hit a ball like a pro, let alone hit the ball hard.. (Hope you don't take offence to that)

Anyway, I don't have the right to say what I say because I obviously havent seen you play before, therefore, I cba with this talk... But there is a difference between them two statements.

This is the statement I disagree with. I'm sure there are many, many amateurs who can hit a squash ball harder than a whole host of professionals.

oh, well I was talking about all professional squash players - but still - I bet there are at least a handful of amateurs who hit the ball as hard as a top 15 player.

Well I admit its my fault for assuming you were talking about top 15's...

Does anybody know anything about the Dunlop Aerogel 4D Elite? It is the racket used by Gregory Gaultier and I can get hold of one brand new for just under £50. Should I?

They're okay racquets, not the best that Dunlop have produced in the last few years. I have the aerogel pro GT which was the racquet Dunlop released prior to this and would highly recommend that. They're back on sale but unfortunately they're about £58. So basically I don't think it's the best racquet to go and buy ATM, there are better options.

May I ask you to suggest something below £50?

I prefer head racquets, from my personal experience I say they are the best racquets, but some people may have different views.

Before I was a fan of dunlop, until when my dunlop racquets easily started to break, due to strong and powerful shots. I also tried wilson racquets they also broked easily.

Later on my brother was reccomended by someone to use head racquets, actually he bought from him in cheaper price, and that person who sold the racquet was close a relative of jansher khan (well known squash player), I also trained under him for some months.

That racquet lasted more then 5 years. I got myself thinking how is that possible, until when I bought one racquet for myself, it lasted for long time. Until now I am using racquets which come under the same brand which is head.

Well it is based on my experience, some people my favour for other racquets.

I had a good game yesterday, played a friendly against the guy who is winning the league above me. He beat me 3-2 in the end, but I felt like it could have gone either way. He was surprised to hear I had only been playing 4 months.
