Nice racket for sale pal It would be decent if there was a classified section on the forum :\

How does everyone think you could make squash a more media wise, and generally more supported sport?

I had this racket. I prefer using HEAD instead, they are strong and longer lasting if you are a power player.

I hinted at this question several months ago I think. It's a very valid question.

I don't know too much but squash matches have been shortened so now you win a point regardless who serves. This quickens the match and is much more media friendly. Plus the innovation of see through backwalls will increase the audience capacity. However squash courts have to be indoors so audience capacity is limited. It's a tough situation.

The only possible solution could be to try and encourage more people to start playing squash. With higher demand, there will be more advertising, more money in the game etc. etc.

Aye, it's definitely a hard one I have 2 ideas I think could potentially boost the interest and support through media.

-For one, I think Squash should not just be shown on Sky but on free view and freesat etc..

-I also think there should be a couple of Squash magazines that give dates of matches/tournaments, Tips, Reviews and just released gear articles.

I think the magazine would boost interest in the sport as people would see the magazine, read a little about it, then perhaps watch a couple of games that would be on most televisions.
I think the Television support would help because it would get people watching the sport, thus getting them interested.

Ah I know what you mean now! Coaches daughter mentioned it a while ago. She is insane, but she was saying how you need an awful lot of power

Oh yeah, I do that every now and then as a surprise tactic. Just whack it about a foot from the corner maybe a yard over the service line as hard as you can, and if the guy is standing expecting something down the rail like usual then you can sneak it past him.

The only problem is that if he gets to it you will often be a little bit out of position. So its best as a surprise tactic.
