    Electronics Help!!
For a project at school I wanted to find out if it were possible to make a locator device for personal items, e.g: wallet keys etc.

I'm not really sure how I would go about it but I thought something that when turned on sent out a signal (I'm not sure what type; infra red, radio, sonar?????) it would be detected by something attached to the lost item, and when detected would activate a buzzer or something.

If anyone could help me by explaining how I could make this device if it is possible...
    THANKS

You would need a basic RF transmitter and receiver. You would then need to make the receiver activate a buzzer when it receives the signal sent by the transmitter.

For A-level, your idea is probably too complicated. You wont get any more marks in the coursework for the complexity of your project.
