Can anybody please give me an estimate grade for this French writing piece (GCSE)?

I did gcse french and got an A*. Ive I campared what you've wrote to stuf in my old french book and id say thats probably a B

I didn't use any subjunctive or pluperfect in my gcse and got an A*

L’année dernière je suis allé en vacances en Italie pendant deux semaines avec mes copains. En général je l’ai aimée(if referring to Italy use ée, if referring to vacances use ées, if referring to holidays, need to change to "je les ai aimées") car c’était très passionnante et physique. Dans l’avenir j’adorerais y retourner parce que je me suis amusé (or amusée if you're female) . En Italie la nourriture est savoureuse qui est bien car c’est facile de trouver un bon restaurant. Au cours de mon temps en Italie j‘ai fait beaucoup de ski. Il est important de vous préparer physiquement avant de partir skier parce que c'est très fatigant. Par exemple, j'ai fait beaucoup de jogging avant que j'ai visité [this has been corrected wrongly, I believe, though do inform me otherwise - you can say "Avant que je n'aie visité" - "Avant que" is always followed by a SUBJUNCTIVE and a REDUNDANT "ne" alternatively say "avant de visiter", though the grammar here isn't quite as juicy] Italie pour augmenter mon endurance. J'ai aussi joué au football pour augmenter ma vitesse et ma force. Je crois que le ski est un exercice très sain, surtout si vous êtes gros, car il brûle beaucoup de calories. Cependant parfois le ski peut également être dangereux car vous pouvez avoir des accidents et de[Don't need the "de" here] casser les jambes. Je recommanderais le [Don't know what the "le" is doing here] faire du ski mais seulement après la préparation physique. Aussi je recommanderais porter les gants car il fait très froid et enneige. Pendant mes vacances en Italie moi et mes amis avons visité Rome pendant un jour. Heureusement j’avais visité Rome avant mes vacances car je y [need to change this to "j'y" as "je" + "y" = "j'y"] habitais avec ma famille pendant quelques mois- autrement nous nous serions perdus.

I reckon this piece is very good for GCSE, definitely A, possibly A* - well done

I wouldn't give this an A*, a few too many errors, although you use good tenses. For my GCSE, I used subjunctive, pluperfect and conditional perfect. But that's me. Maybe an A.

OP, it's fine. GCSE is all about fitting in past, present and future, and you've done conditional as well. It's all good.
Instead of "Il est important de vous préparer", use the more impersonal "se préparer". Vous is more when you're talking to a real person.

GCSE knowledge of French is very basic! So yeah, past, present, future, and maybe conditional will give you an A* provided you keep your errors to a minimum!
