    Work experience help.
I need to do a weeks worth of work experience for my Welsh bacc qualification, and I have to organise it myself this year. I'm not quite sure what to say when I phone up the company that I want to go with. Do you think something like this sounds ok as an opening sentence?
Hello, I am a year 12 student at ________ school.
I am looking for a work experience placement in your company.
I'm really nervous about phoning tomorrow. Does anyone have any experience or tips?

Be confident without being arrogant, and make sure they take down your details and ask them when you can expect a response by.

Your opening sentence sounds fine to me.

Thanks for your reply. That's a good idea, i would be worried if they didn't ask for my details as i would think they weren't interested, so i'll deffo make sure they get them and ask when i'll get a response. I always get shy on the phone so i might write some points down on some paper so i remember things to say, even though it sounds pretty sad.

If they take down your details it's also a reminder for the secretary incase they forget, as well.

Making notes is a good idea, I do that all the time. It's also good to have the pen and paper handy so you can note down any information they give you, like phonenumbers or dates.
