Work experience help.
I need to do a weeks worth of work experience for my Welsh bacc qualification, and I have to organise it myself this year. I'm not quite sure what to say when I phone up the company that I want to go with. Do you think something like this sounds ok as an opening sentence?
Hello, I am a year 12 student at ________ school.
I am looking for a work experience placement in your company.
I'm really nervous about phoning tomorrow. Does anyone have any experience or tips?

Your opening sentence sounds fine to me. -
Re: Work experience help. Thanks for your reply. That's a good idea, i would be worried if they didn't ask for my details as i would think they weren't interested, so i'll deffo make sure they get them and ask when i'll get a response. I always get shy on the phone so i might write some points down on some paper so i remember things to say, even though it sounds pretty sad.(Original post by Darren-M)

Re: Work experience help.If they take down your details it's also a reminder for the secretary incase they forget, as well.(Original post by DeadGirlsDance)

Making notes is a good idea, I do that all the time.
It's also good to have the pen and paper handy so you can note down any information they give you, like phonenumbers or dates.
