Have people chosen their university on what their 'heart is telling them' or what the logical left brain has to say on the matter? I'm well stumped and I have less than a week to decide. Oh man.

can't decide between art school and university!
I have an unconditional for duncan of jordanstone art college dundee (general foundation year) and an unconditional for journalism and creative writing with economics at strathclyde.
Has anyone else applied for the same course at strathclyde? Or know anyone who has done this course? Would quite like to hear a student's opinion of it.. and same goes for Dundee!
Hey, I went straight from school to strathclyde last year to do finance and economics and it was a good course - v good opportunities as its a really good uni. But Ive always been a creative person and I couldnt just keep art as a hobby so i left and am now going to djcad this year. Basically pick the course you genuinely feel you'd want to study everyday because there's no point doing something you don't love just because you think it MIGHT give you better job prospects or because it's what everyone else wants you to do. Hope u make the right choice x

I only got two offers this year and they were both AAA for medicine.
So I just put them both down with my preferred uni as my firm.

I applied late ( Current university fault due to getting rid of the 'top up' i was set to start in 2012) for speech and lang therapy... as a result i have been offered a place which is great but really not the uni i want to go to... (always the case!) I have already done a degree and have three years working as a speech and lang assistant, so not overly keen on waiting a further year to apply... Just wondered if anyone knew of speech and lang courses coming into clearing?? Am also on a waiting list at manchester, if anyone can shed on any light on the likelihood of a place from this? Or any advice would be great

Contact the university to make sure it hasn't been given in error as they might have got you mixed up with someone else who actually wanted 2013 entry.

Universities do sometimes give out offers for the following year to candidates they like but don't have the space for in 2012. They're essentially saying "yes, we like you, we want you to come but we liked other people more so they got offers for 2012 before you. Now we've decided that we definitely want you, there just isn't a place this year" so therefore you need to either accept the fact you will have to have a gap year if you go there or decline the offer.
