Re: Chemical engineering application thread 2012Congratulations. Might be my first choice, not sure yet(Original post by Toshiya)
Yeah, they gave me an offer today
AAB, it's my top choice, just got to work my butt off for the grades now. -
Re: Chemical engineering application thread 2012
Just got a conditional offer from Sheffield for AAB, chemical engineering with chemistry.
I think I'm going to put Leeds as my first choice now so Sheffield is unfortunately kind of irrelevant... might change my mind though.
Just waiting on Loughborough now! It's between Loughborough, Teesside and Cardiff (chemistry) which one is going to be my insurance. And they all interview >__< -
Re: Chemical engineering application thread 2012
I've had an interview at Birmingham. Was pretty simple, they just wanna get to know you. Apparently it varies between each professor interviewing but mine just asked about why Chem Eng why Birmingham etc. I looked over my personal statement just to see if I'd left anything vague I'd have to know about but all in all it was easy enough.

How long do Loughborough take to respond?
They're the only place I haven't heard from yet. -
Re: Chemical engineering application thread 2012I have offers from Leeds and Sheffield and interviews with Teesside and Cardiff (Cardiff is for Chemistry rather than Chemical Engineering though)(Original post by ru7lan)

Re: Chemical engineering application thread 2012Loughborough are handing out interviews for February now, I've got one on the 8th. I've heard it's not much, just those ones where if you turn up you get the offer...(Original post by Toshiya)

Re: Chemical engineering application thread 2012yeppp i did on friday(Original post by VQG)
Anyone got an offer from Aston?

Re: Chemical engineering application thread 2012You may have had yours on the same day as mine so sorry if this isn't helpful any more. The questions were mainly about my personal statement, I had a really nice interviewer who asked me things strictly to do with chemical engineering so nothing like 'Why Birmingham' etc. This included some technical questions but again, entirely based on personal statement so just make sure you read up on anything that could be expanded. It wasn't difficult at all, they only want to have a chat with you so don't worry.(Original post by jukebox808)
Has anyone had a Birmingham interview? If so, what kind of questions did they ask and how did you prepare? I'm so stressed!
