Ya got email just now Is it just 9th of Feb that's been cancelled ?
I’m contacting you on behalf of Dr George Manos.

Unfortunately our UCAS open day of 9th February 2012 has been cancelled, as no offers have been made yet.

We will contact candidates who receive an offer in due course regarding attendance of a later open day.

Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Scratch that, just received it. A little confused about what this means. I take it that it's cancelled for everyone, then?

I have an interview at UCL on the 9th of Feb - for Biochemical Engineering

Maybe they cancelled the open day because they still have interviews going on?

I didn't realise those that applied for chemical engineering didn't need an interview

Are you referencing me per chance?

Yeah Loughborough gave me a straight up offer because I couldn't afford the train fare. Though I would have loved to have gone up but I've already had to pay to go to Teesside, Cardiff, Sheffield and Leeds. Bearing in mind I live down south that's a looooooot of money

But yeah, if you don't want to go, just say you can't make it because of travel cost. It's worth a shot!

Same choices, except i chose UCL over luffbra. Got an offer from all of them except UCL. Manchester has the better reputation and will probably be more attractive to employers but it's supposed to be amongst the hardest course for chemeng, but brum has much higher satisfaction however less than half of their graduates got a 2.1 or above according to unistats. It all depends on what you find most important in your choice

Cheers what are u guna put down as your firm? I suppose the reason why manchester is more attractive to employers is because of its harder course.
