Re: University of Sheffield Applicants 2012Hopefully going to start Sheffield this year for Biomedical Sciences. Accom at Endcliffe. I didn't get the grades for last year, so fingers crossed this time! Just a bit worried as it will be my 20th birthday on the second day of freshers and I know the majority of people will be 18! Guess I'm just an oldie

ahh phew! all my friends said i wouldn't be the only one, guess i just needed some reassurance! what course are u planning to study?
i'll be doing information technology management for business (woah, long name ). already have my grades, so i'll definitely end up in sheffield. what about you?

Re: University of Sheffield Applicants 2012Dunno really, I guess I've decided I'd rather focus more on the traditional sociology side rather than social policy. I'm reeeeally hoping I'll get the grades though, it could be pretty close..
Also, when is the deadline for applying for accommodation? I haven't done it yet.

Well, maybe, but is Social Policy and Sociology the same thing as Politics and Sociology? I'm not sure, haha. I think it's slightly different, as in you don't really learn about the actual government (executive, legislator, judiciary and all that 
) but yeah, I'm guessing it's still a bit like politics.

Well done for the grades and the course seems very technical! What was their offer if you don't mind me asking? Ive got an exam on Wednesday - need to increase by 3ums to get an A in Chemistry and entry into Sheffield! Hopefully doing Biomedical Sciences.(Original post by ohdrama)
