Re: University of Sheffield Applicants 2012That's probably a good idea; get a feel for the city you might be living in.(Original post by Tim99)
Inurance here at sheffs, I'm not too sure about the place, I did like the course however I was a bit unsure; I need to spend more time in the city I think. So I am planning to spend a few days down there in a few months time. Hopfully this will help.
What is your firm? Considering Sheffield is your insurance?
Also; in a few months time? We have a little less than 3 months now! -
Re: University of Sheffield Applicants 2012Ha I meant next month; Leeds is my firm.(Original post by kara99)

Re: University of Sheffield Applicants 2012
On the registration thing all of us with unconditionals have just been sent, has everyone got the sponsor part saying that 'In your financial declaration you indicated that you are expecting an external agency (e.g. an Embassy, a Government organisation or your employer) to pay some or all of your fees'. I did no such thing >:/

Re: University of Sheffield Applicants 2012I know a guy who did that undergrad degree and is now doing a PhD at Sheffield -- he said he really enjoyed it, and he got to spend his 3rd year at some huge telescope in the Canary Islands.(Original post by zguitarmagic)
It's my insurance (but only cos i'm not sure about the subject- otherwise i'd love to get back to good ol sheff!)

Re: University of Sheffield Applicants 2012Thought you were a fresher asking others. This is disappointing.(Original post by Dorito)
Where are all the Town Planners this year?
We need all the representation we can get.

The same thing has happened to me! I'm an unconditional offer holder too, and I even ended up checking back through my UCAS application to see if I'd done filled in something incorrectly (despite being sure I'd put down the right fee code!) I've e-mailed the pre-reg address twice now, but still had no response from them regarding this.
Did you manage to sort yours out? -
Re: University of Sheffield Applicants 2012tried contacting them as well, no answer so far.(Original post by victoria123)

i don't quite understand it, though. in the registration booklet i've received this week, the sponsor letting thingy is (apparently!) only applicable to overseas students, uk/eu postgrads and uk/eu short term students. for uk/eu undergrads it only says you should "complete your financial declaration" and "pay your fees" for some reason.
edit:
tried to take a picture of the booklet page i was talking aboout.
(ignore the horrible scribbling
)
