Which A levels Subjects?? Help please deadline Approaching fast!

I'm 21 and sitting as a private candidate because of my age and job. I want to study computer science. Should I go for choice 1(Max ucas points 280) or choice 2(Max ucas 420). Heavy maths or safe points? i think choice 2 is much easier, what do you think? deadline is this Friday please help me decide

Choice 1
A levels Maths
A levels Further Maths

or
Choice 2
A level Maths
A level Economics
A level Accounting

The prefered subject required for computer science is Technical or Science. but The exam board does not provide computing/ict and i didnt do science subjects because of lack of coursework guidance, resources.

Go for 3 A-Levels, you won't get into any decent uni with only 2 A-Levels.

You also need to check if the universities recognise Further Mathematics as a separate course, and that Technical/Science subjects are just preferred and not basic requirements.

MikeySwansea has made a good point.

anyway there no difference between the two, to some extent. As Economics and Maths are respected and Accounting will use bits of both....

choice two sounds more fun and more broad.

btw if you want to specialise in software development, for example, then it is advisable to have ago making some static, basic web pages and learning a programming language such as VB.Net. Doing so will put you in a position of understanding how to approach development and will help you to learn the fundamentals. after which you may then decide to learn a harder language, which will be comparatively easier if you have practice other languages before, C# or Java.

do not use all your time programming just mess about with application development in your spare time....

it can be fun other times you want to jump in a black hole.

honestly

If you were applying to us at Oxford the A Level Maths would be essential. We'd also strongly recommend A Level Further Maths. We'd also look for a third A Level, which would ideally be a science but it's not essential that it's a science by any means. We don't look for any specific knowledge of computing, so not having an A Level in the subject isn't a problem for us. To give you an idea, our standard offer for 2012 entry will be A*AA with at least an A in Maths and the A* in either Maths, FMaths, Computing or Physics. Option one with just two A Levels wouldn't be enough for us. You could make an application to us with option two, but it would be more competitive with F Maths in place of Economics or Accounting.
Hope that helps.
