Naw, a 911 is cheaper for parts than a 944. There's plenty of specialists for the older stuff. You won't run one on the same budget as you would an austin mini, but they aren't too bad for parts. Even if you have to go to the main dealer, they knock off an awful lot for older cars and you'll also get 10% off if you're a member of the owners club.

If you think an aircooled is expensive, forget buying new stuff. Certainly wouldn't bother with a boxster. Rear main seal gone? That'll be dear to fix...
Boxsters regularly blow up. The whole german reliability thing is a myth.

The blow up within the porsche is from the IMS failure, that going to cost dearly.

Problem isn't there within air-cooled.

And certainly air-cooled look more classy than newer ones.

Boxsters are riddled with faults. If we were going to list them all we'd be here a while.

Which models have you had so far?

AC Cobra 427

The brilliance of a British sports car combined with the lunacy of Carroll Shelby.

Your complete and utter flawed logic.

I kinda like this one too, even though it has the interior and probably the chassis of a cavalier / vectra.
Not sure if its classic though

I wish I had,

Got that information from a porsche forum, rennlist.com.

Which porsche coupe is the most reliable then? Could it be older air-cooled models? :s-smilie:
Ferrari 275

Too bad Ferrari just don't make 'em this stylish anymore, with the 458 being an exception the modern cars have looked horrible imo.

I'd put my bet on the 2.0 litre 924 being the most reliable actually?

Mercedes 190 SL

Erm,

Fixing, meant about between older and newer 911s.

924 share parts with some older Audi model(s) as far as I know?
Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing.

If insurance was cheaper on it, then definitely it would be a chav-mobile
