Got 90/90 on this
It was a resit since i'm now in A2 (Got a C first time around) but i'm still really happy since it was quite a difficult paper -
Re: OCR A Chemistry (F321) Jan 13th 2012lol hate is such a strong word(Original post by LosMutos)
I hate you lol :P
How did you do? -
Re: OCR A Chemistry (F321) Jan 13th 2012Yeah it was a horrid paper, i even ended up making the definition on the spot since i didn't know it - for a first attempt thats pretty awesome by the way, i flopped pretty badly on my first exams last year so you should be pretty proud of that(Original post by LosMutos)
I'm proud of your achievement
I got 77 UMS. Tbh I thought I failed because that paper was insanely difficult compared to past papers.

Re: OCR A Chemistry (F321) Jan 13th 2012you can make up that ums in another exam btw. Final A level is just an accumulative total of all UMS. SO unless you feel you can get alot more ums than 71, then don't resit it. Or, if you are to resit it, i recommend resitting it next year in january, because of how the topics overlap.(Original post by DScofield)
71 ums... 72 needed for an A. **** ocr. Retaking in may lol. -

Re: OCR A Chemistry (F321) Jan 13th 2012
I got a C, just off a B, the paper was very difficult but I was far too nervous / panicky in the exam I remembered the whole text-book and understood everything I scored 100% UMS in Biology so this was obviously a blip!
Hopefully the retake will be okay it's a fundamental module and so a lot of links in the next module will mean revision will be much more of a "refresher".
Well done to all those who performed well though :-) -
Re: OCR A Chemistry (F321) Jan 13th 2012Because on the 3p4 the electrons fill the orbitals up one at a time. So 3px2, 3py1, 3pz1. The only full orbital is 3px2.(Original post by Ashfak786)
can someone explain to me why sulfur has "7 full orbitals" I know its electron configuration is 1s2 2s2 2p6 3s2 3p4

might retake next january depends on how unit 2 goes
