'Foundations of the Sunnah/Usool-e-Sunnah' - There's probably different publishings of it, but the one I have has a lot of discussions by other 'classical scholars' about Imam Ahmad in the supplementary chapters at the back.

There's one in there that I quite like: ''Abdullaah ibn Ahmad said, 'I heard my father say concerning this world, 'A little of it suffices, and a great deal of it does not suffice' ' "
