    For one to seek knowledge he should check his intention. If the intention isn't for Allah(swt) and it's just for debating purposes or to be seen as "knowledgeable", you will find that remembering and grasping various issues will be difficult. If the intention is to get closer to Allah (swt) then It will made easy for a person bi'ithnillah.

    Also, a person should strive heard to memories as much as they can from the Quran. There's no point in reading into the difference of opinion of scholars on a fiqh issue when a person hardly knows much Quran. Prioritize and balance.
    "Do not acquire knowledge in order to compete with the scholars, nor to argue with the ignorant, nor to gain mastery over the gathering. Since whoever does this then: the fire, the fire". (Abu Dawud, 3/3656)

    Salaam Alaykum guys, hope inshaAllah you're all good. I just wanted to ask you something:
    Can you have a look around this website and tell me what you think of it? www.therevival.co.uk
    What's good? What could be improved and HOW?
    If you think the content/discussions aren't great then this can't be helped until you and like minded join in and start creating and talking about better stuff {hint hint }
    If there is something off-putting about the site, then what is it, how can it be improved to make you want to use it?

    I'm just doing some 'research'. The people behind 'The Revival' only work fisabillah (i.e no they're not getting paid) and the magazine used to be free too, but it has turned into a web-only mag due to a lack of funds.

    So just wanted to see what other people think about the site and how it can be improved to bring in more people and properly serve its purpose for the Muslim youth, inshaAllah. So I hope you can help it help you

    (If anyone I haven't quoted, wants to respond please do.)
    JazakAllah

    I'd just like to add something that my grandmother told me quite recently and it's inspired me to dedicate my life to Allah, and I hope that after sharing this with you that I hopefully inspire you too.

    I understand that most of us have exams and fitting prayer around this and also finding the time to read the Qu'ran can seem impossible at times. You may also be reluctant in leaving everything to Allah as you may feel that it's your sole responsibility to manage your time, but we forget one very essential thing. Allah does not give more pain than a person can bear, there are two reasons why he may choose to push you off a cliff, one is to catch you and the other is to teach you to fly. When a child is told to fall back they are less reluctant in falling back into the arms of the person behind them, than an adult is. So be the inocent child and fall back into Allah's hands and leave it to him.

    Seeking knowledge is seen as a very pious thing to do in Islam and you've got to always remember that Allah wants you to seek knowledge. So whenever you feel as if you have lost your motivation to study, make your new motivation worship, as seeking knowledge can be seen as a form of worship to Allah.

    Holy prophet (SAWW) said: whoever recites the first 4 ayats of Surae Baqarah, then Ayatul Kursi and then the last 3 ayats of Surah e Baqarah, will not be inflicted with any kind of difficulty in his wealth or himself, Satan will not come near him and he will not forget the Qur’an.

    Imagine a world where your street credit was based on how much Quran memorized instead of lyrics, where elders are revered and youth pay them respect, where degrees are sought in the sciences sacred and secular to benefit others and not for fame or fortune, where people give without hesitation knowing that their assets and pension plans are awaiting them in Jannah, where friendships are formed beyond cultural and linguistic barriers, and people of faith in the One respect each other living in peace. This used to be our past. Why can’t it be our future ?

    Wasalam sis,

    I checked out the website, the content is good Alhamdulillah, the only way I think it can be improved is to maybe look a bit more sophisticated but then again it's for the youth, I'm not sure what kind of age group it's aimed at if its like 15-20yrs then it's fine.Overall very good, May Allah(swt) reward everyone for their efforts Ameen.
