Re: Royal Holloway 2012 entry applicantsIt's actually pretty even, 56.6% is female...(Original post by gm15)
Its a majority female university so I'm sure there will be plenty in Gowar.

Re: Royal Holloway 2012 entry applicantsIt always used to be high, but I was told at the open day it was coming down. Who knows!(Original post by Urfali)

Re: Royal Holloway 2012 entry applicantsThere's definitely a majority of females but I don't think it's that much, haha! At Open Days I always say it's 60:40 as I'm sure that's what we've been told in the past, but obviously it does change year on year.(Original post by Urfali)

Though that might explain why it's so difficult to find a boyfriend at Holloway...Yep, sounds good to me, let's blame it on the statistics, haha.

I'm in Runnymede; trying not to be bitterly envious of those in the newer halls.(Original post by metric)
Ah there's so many different facebook groups it's confusing! I've joined that one though thanks for the link
and yeah that's an idea, there seems to be a growing amount.
I'm in Tuke, how about you?
And yeah, might make the Facebook group when I'm back home. On the other side of the world atm. Did you comment on that Facebook group? Hard to recognise usernamed people on Facebook.

Re: Royal Holloway 2012 entry applicantsI'm sure Runnymede will be nice, all the accommodation looks alright really at RHUL! What was your first choice?(Original post by SachaGoat)

And do it! Where abouts are you?
Nope haven't been accepted in yet
but once I am I'm Sally just so you recognise me

Thanks for the reassurance, Sally, I'm more concerned on the company in my halls than the halls itself but I'm sure I'll be fine in any environment at RHUL. My top choice was Tukes but I guess walking past it on my way to Runnymede will suffice.(Original post by metric)

I'm currently in Mauritius, the island I grew up on, up til age 4. Great to return here after 8years and I'm juggling relaxation, blogging and screenwriting while I'm here... I think I'll do that Facebook group now.
And yeah, they don't take long to add one in, took about half a day for me.

Re: Royal Holloway 2012 entry applicantsI guess that'll be a worry for every halls though and just think it's only a year if you get people you don't get on with anyway. Wow that's really cool, it looks so beautiful there, I'm so envious!(Original post by SachaGoat)

I had to have a second member to create the group so I think you were forced by Facebook into the group, made you an admin also.(Original post by metric)

And despite the gorgeous sun and the fact I'm staying in luxury 5star villas (from family company, not wealth) I still miss England and can't wait to get back to the mercurial weather.

No im not too sure how many people are doing our course. I've only seen about 4 or 5 so far but i dont actually know who they are. Is there anyone else that u know?

Aside from Sally/Metric and you, I don't know of others. I'm guessing it will be about 35 people in the course per year. There's also someone else I remember seeing from this forum who I believe was planning on doing media arts; the person who linked you to the RHUL Freshers group.(Original post by ClarissaJJ)
