Re: What are the biggest obstables facing me to become a fiction author? What do you mean by dense?(Original post by TheWorldEndsWithMe)
Actually sitting yourself down and writing a novel seems to be hard for many budding authors.
And the market is so dense that getting yourself published is difficult (unless you opt to self-publish).
And thanks for the advice btw!! -
Re: What are the biggest obstables facing me to become a fiction author?Yeah its a retro futuristic fantasy about a boy who has been humliated badly. He discovers a link to another world.(Original post by the bear)
You need to be able to write an interesting story ...
Then you need to get it published; this is usually the hard part
Could you show us some of your work so we can help you further ?

Re: What are the biggest obstables facing me to become a fiction author?Dyslexia should not be an obstacle to the range of your vocabulary. And I'd say range of vocabulary is a pretty important quality for an author.(Original post by da_comeback)

Re: What are the biggest obstables facing me to become a fiction author?Rofl, and you plan to use that as an excuse when you don't get a book published? "They're discriminating against my writing because I have dyslexia"? Either you push past it or you give up your 'dream'.(Original post by da_comeback)

Re-read the two posts you just wrote. Do you not think they are a little contradictory?
(Contradictory: adjective meaning inconsistent or a pair of statements unable to both be true or false under the same circumstances.) -
