Im trying to learn portuguese but have no idea where to start.

Are you learning European or Brazilian?

Well Im not sure to be honest. My situation is funny...




The spoiler contains some helpful info but long story short: I am also learning European Spanish but have no idea what kind of Portuguese I want to speak.

Can't I just use European Portuguese in Brazil? How difficult will it be to be understood? Maybe even learn European Portuguese and then teach myself a bit of Brazillian after?

Hmm as far as I'm aware, Brazilians can understand Europeans to a certain extent, but I imagine there are contrasts in accent, slang and vocabulary differences!
