Working at Schuh?

:smile:Hello,
I have an interview at Schuh in two weeks, and this will be the first interview I have ever had for a job.
What type of questions will they ask me, and should I ask them any?
What should I expect?
What type of clothes should I wear, because I know it's quite a funky place...
I am studying a Specialist hair and media make up course therefore I need to be on the ball at all times because the fashion world is constantly changing and I need to know what the trends are each season!

It's really unfair actually! Our teachers told us that if we get an A* we don't have to do it anymore. Then she said but I wouldn't worry because we haven't got onto most of the A* work yet! I was like ö

Oh dear, you'll be fine!
I think the Maths exam is the easiest out of them all haha:smile:
Dress smart. Act confident, i worked at Schuh a few years ago and the main thing they were interested in was; working well in a team, can talk confidently to customers, can work efficiently at busy times, and has some fair knowledge of brands.

Discounts amazing
I had my interview there about a week ago!
They were really laid back and it was pretty much a laid back conversation

I was thinking about wearing black pants, a white shirt with a leopard bow tie and some tan block heels but i'm not sure:/ because i dont know whether to wear stylish shoes because it is a shoe shop after all!

I worked at Schuh for 3 and a half years and LOVED it ! In the interview they give you a few scenarios asking what you'd do in certain situations, like dealing with multiple customers, and that sort of thing. They like people who are a bit individual, the 'schuh look'.

Is it a group interview cause I had one with them like a year back and he main things you should do (even if it's not a group interview) is Dress smartly so wear clothes as if you was going to an office I'd say show professionalism, have confidence you was to make yourself stand out from the crowd the interviewers shouldn't be talking much besides for asking questions if it's a one on one interview or if it's a group interview be the first to introduce yourself try to answer many question as you can but don't be over the top and finally DO RESEARCH I think that was a common problem when I was younger when I had interviews, I didn't do enough research on the company and when it came to a question like "what do you know about the company" Do you know what brands we do" etc they wanted a particular answer and cause I didn't do the research I didn't know what to say and I was very vague, which I think you can see on your interviews face that you've lost marks especially if you was doing well.
I work at Schuh and I really dont think you need to dress smart. There was only 1 guy in my group interview who dressed smart, and he was kinda the odd one out.

Things they are interested in is confidence, working well under pressure, and just being a generally nice smiley person

It is a group interview and yes knowledge about the company does help.
luckily their website has all the info you'll need to know.

Dress smart casual because, schuh is a relaxed company and they do let you know that from as soon as you walk into the room.

You'll do a couple of "getting to know each other" exercises and then start talking about customer service because that is their main focus as a company

Just be calm and be you :colondollar:
