Re: Tech Society 3.0certain things at amazon.de are cheaper. I ordered a phone not so long ago saving me over a £100 if I ordered from amazon.co.uk(Original post by hassi94)

Argh, ebuyer order got cancelled due to an 'unconfirmed address' and has now gone up £5 in price overnight. Not happy. -

They did that with my £128 GTX560ti last month, so pissed off. Why not just ask for it to be comfirmed or another payment method like a normal store.
*Negged by ebuyer lol

Re: Tech Society 3.0Ordered all my PC components. £5 may not be much in the grand scheme of things but it's still annoying!(Original post by hassi94)

Re: Tech Society 3.0Ah well at least it isn't something too annoying like a DVD Drive going up by 30%(Original post by RipperRoo)

To be honest you could probably make some pretty significant savings by ordering from other websites, what parts are you buying?
E.G. save £10 on the PSU by buying it from Scan: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/650w-...2v-quiet-fan-a
Assuming you have the free delivery (very easy to get unless you want your PC right now).
Also you could get this motherboard instead: http://www.ebuyer.com/gigabyte-motherboard to save £10
And it comes with a cooler so you can buy an OEM i5 3570k from scan for £162 saving another £15

Re: Tech Society 3.0Weird, I was just looking at this 15 minutes ago(Original post by mangoh)
anyone using the microsoft sidewinder keyboard x4?
I think I'll be buying it, reviews are very good.
-
Re: Tech Society 3.0Frankly, there's only one keyboard that you should ever consider marrying, and that's an IBM Model M.(Original post by mangoh)
I've had it for some while now.
I was going to buy the x6 version but then I opted not to as I read the reviews and the majority I read said x4 is better.
At first I found it be uncomfortable as the keys are slightly smaller than the average size keyboard (this is to ensure that the style is very nice as obviousy there is more keys than the standard keyboard due to the macros)
Buy the x4 instead of the x6 is my advice.
The only thing I find annoying and this is why I have asked if anyone else has the x4 keyboard is because everytime I turn on my computer, the keyboard is lit up and I have to turn it off.
Bit annoying.
Overall FANTASTIC keyboard. I'm thinking of marrying it. -

Frankly, there's only one keyboard that you should ever consider marrying, and that's an IBM Model M.
The keys turn pink when you use it for too long

Re: Tech Society 3.0Depending on what your buying it for I would actually recommend the Roccat Isku. I personally love it, it's a very big keyboard for my big hands. It looks nice has macro keys with blue backlighting, ghosting and it has 3 recording profiles with profile switching buttons. It has a light dimmer button too.(Original post by hassi94)

But surely this is wrong? What about Das Keyboard as an alternative?
-
Re: Tech Society 3.0Well yes - if I was going to get a "proper keyboard", then it'd be a Das Keyboard. All the benefits of a Model M but without the DIN connector.(Original post by Tathrim)
PRSOM.

Re: Tech Society 3.0It made quite the noise as well when you typed on it(Original post by Mad Vlad)
That's just its way of telling you how much it loves you.

What was wrong with 192kbps .mp3(Original post by S-man10)
how does one convert from FLAC to ALAC on windows? Can't seem to find the answer as most of the software suggested is only MAC compatible.
