Hello Tech soc! Some of you might actually remember me from when I was here in the far distant past.

I'm building a new system and I want some opinions.

    Thank you =)

I've found the Windows version awful compared to the Mac. It's so much more slow, and much more of a resource hog and I really don't understand how they could regularly do such a bad job with coding for Windows with the amount of updates they bring out.
Pretty much the first thing I did when I bought my MacBook Pro was to uninstall iTunes off of my PC. The Mac version is bad enough, but the Windows port is dire. :nothing:

What player are you using now? I've been looking for other options to try :holmes:

Ecoute, which is a front-end for iTunes. Works similarly to how the iOS Music app works, but takes better advantage of the full screen. Much nicer for playing stuff by a particular artist/album/whatever, bit less useful when it's on shuffle all. Since it uses the iTunes library it should work with FLAC if you've set iTunes to do the same.

Guys, it's likely that I won't be around for a week or so as I'm moving house. See you soon!

Pfft, amateur. You can balance a second mentos on top of the first one which hides neatly in the lid! Not that I've tried it or anything :ninja:

Bought a NAS for some extra storage, currently copying across a load of videos (about 600GB) and going at 2.5MB/s. This may take a while...
