    Gettin' technical eh? :hubba:

A bog standard switch could work depending on the university setup I guess.
That's sort of what I was thinking and you can do that with DD-WRT

Wait till Apple take this research for the iPad 4/5 and spin it so they invented it.

Could someone look at the graphics on this and tell me what sort of games it would be able to cope with? http://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/Lenov...UK/version.asp

I'm not expecting much from it.

University-wide internet problem - slow external connections, Wikipedia + TSR not loading.
Connect to a VPN - everything works perfectly.

Feels good being a CompSci :smug:

I'm seriously considering trading in my iphone 4 at the moment for the Lumia 800.... Don't get me wrong, I love iOS most of the time. it's just the network issues I have with this phone, like it losing connection then refusing to reconnect without one or possibly two full restarts, plus the dropping of calls which seems to have picked up lately...
    Opinions?

WP7 is nice... but has a very limited ecosystem and seems a little unpolished. You'd also potentially resent the battery life at the moment, though Nokia are releasing a firmware update soon to fix that, I believe.

Yeah I heard about that, the limited Eco system doesn't bother me much. I only use around 7 apps, most of which are available
    For windows phone.

In which case, I don't see you having any problems.

The one thing I'm wondering about is syncing music. I've heard there is a way to sync it to your itunes, do you know anything about that?

Guys, I'm looking to schedule people coming and trying out a program on my computer next week.
I'm looking for people to be able to sign up to slots as they please within the ours that I set.

Any suitable site that does this? Or something in Google Docs?
What would be really awesome, is if I could embed it into a webpage.

It will come out on most devices in the marketplace first, Apple will wait for a year or so, then release there own version. All the fanboys will then believe this was Apple's creation...

WP7 uses Zune by default. It's far better than iTunes for use with syncing, and all you need to do is manage your OS libraries in Explorer and Zune picks it up automatically.
