Yes, the interview pack followed a few days later I think... got sent information on what to prepare etc... for me it was a group discussion, presentation, individual interview and written assignment... naturally I was extremely nervous but despite that I heard back within 48 hours that I had got in. Go for it!

wow that was very quick, they must have really liked you! how many people were in the group discussion? and did you get to prepare the presentation beforehand? I still haven't received my info pack, but mine isn't until the 17th Jan so suppose there is still a while.

Congratulations. I had my interview in November at Cambridge and was accepted the same week. Did you receive a letter to send off your CRB check and Health checks? Are you awaiting your College Membership?

I have an interview that day for Primary too! No letter yet though, I think it's meant to come about 2 weeks before the interview date!

Yep, and college membership is to be confirmed.

Hey! Anyone else have an RE secondary interview on 24th January? How are you getting on with the dreadfully dry article? Two reads through and I'm still struggling to understand, haha. Well done to everyone who's been accepted:-)

I'm the same, just want to know now!
What did you choose as your first and second choices? What subject are you specialising in?

Hi =] was wondering if anyone can help me please: about the college application form?? Regarding the personal statement section...I don't mean to sound daft but what do we put in it? Is it different to the GTTR personal statement?

It says "Give details of participation in sporting activities and other interests (eg music, drama, social and religious activities or travel abroad). Please also give details of any other relevant professional qualifications held." Is this really just what I have to talk about...
I did it differently to the GTTR one, and just wrote a list of my hobbies, e.g. my experiences singing, acting, dancing, writing, playing sports etc...basically all the main things I enjoy. I think it's just so they know you're willing to take part in college life. Good luck for your interview - hope it goes well

I got offered a place to be a member of Homerton yesterday. Think a few other people on the Primary course did too, according to the FB page. They don't know about applying for accommodation yet though. Hope you hear something soon.

What is your subject? You should have already received the article which you can research and annotate.

Homerton vs Hughes for Cambridge PGCE 2012/13
    Hey,

Anyone with experience of life at Cambridge as a PGCE student, or future students opinions on where the best accommodation is, please comment:-) All comments are great, but please stay on topic.

    Please consider:

    > Cambridge experience versus PGCE-centred accommodation such as Homerton/Hughes (Homerton which is opposite the Education Faculty)

    > Distance of amenities such as train station, gym, supermarket, clubs, local shops etc

    > Ease of transport system (bike, bus, walking)

Cheers and good luck all PGCE students.
