Did you not try McRib back when it was on our menu, Missa?

Tasted like those terrible Ribsteak things you can get from Farmfoods. Like, almost to a T.

But with a crapload of sauce.

cadburys should really make a bar out of the strawberry dreams from roses, like a dairy milk caramel but with the pink deliciousness from inside the strawberry dream instead of the caramel :sogood: :daydreaming:

I second this notion.

Oh Jesus. Why do we not have "Cheesecake Factory" over in the UK? I've just sat through a feature one "Serious Eats" called "We try every cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory".

It's a picture slideshow of Cheesecake porn.

Snickers Crunch Cheesecake?

Reeses Double Chocolate Fudge Peanut Butter Brownie Cheesecake?

Double Cream Oreo Cheesecake?

Jesus, I'd be so fat. SO fat.

I've done that EXACT thread!!

http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1574106

Check it out and be UTTERLY ASTOUNDED at some of the weird things you get in McDonalds overseas...

I'll look at that tomorrow. I've been told you can get beer in the McDonald's in Spain.

The UK needs some FEBO. The burgers they serve are pretty minging but the croquettes are awesome

It's nice to see someone agrees but after reading through the thread, my post doesn't seem to fit on with the other replies, most of them are about the gap in the market for types of restaurants lol :colondollar:

A chocolate bar with sherbet filling .. Just putting it out there!!

Or like a pretzel bar, covered in chocolate with some sort of centre so its not ridiculously dry... (maybe caramel or something?)

OMG - there's some amazing stuff on there: Mega McMuffin :coma: Mcfloat and Magnum Mcflurrys are just to name a few!! I'm planning to go back to Florida at some point and when I'm there I intend to try the Sausage and Egg McGriddle! I know I'll like it already anyway because I sometimes order the Pancakes and Sausage meal for breakfast and drizzle the maple syrup on the sausage as well as the pancakes. Surprisingly, maple syrup and sausage goes really REALLY well together, actually makes it taste nicer!

There's also some very disgusting looking things on there too though lol.

You can get pretzel m&ms which aren't dry at all, so a pretzel bar might not be too dry tbh

It seems puzzling to me that we, here in the UK, have so many Burger, Kebab, and Pizza chains/takeaways battling for supremacy where there are so many possible fast food/restaurant/food types we're completely lacking!

I mean, look at what we have - our largest Fast Food chains are McDonalds, who focus on burgers and fries, KFC, who focus on Fried Chicken, Burgers and fries, Burger King, who offer Burgers and Fries, Subway, who offer Sub sandwiches, Pizza Hut, who offer Pizza, and Dominos, who offer Pizza. It's hardly a MASSIVELY varied range.

What do you think the UK is sorely lacking? I'm not looking for a particular brand, (ie OMFG TACO BELL TACO BELL OMFG), but if it helps illustrate what you think we need then so be it. I just mean, TYPES of food chains.

For example, we have the likes of Ashoka Shack and local takeaways, but we lack a "real" Indian chain... we have practically NO Mexican food/Taco/Fajita chains, Hot Dogs are almost unheard of, Convenience Italian is like Hens' teeth, and GOD DAMN IT, WHERE BE MA POPEYES? Fish is sorely overlooked on all fast food menus, let alone having a dedicated fish fast food restaurant (although I DO love a local chippy).

And what about a Frozen Yoghurt outlet like FroYo?

Or even a Cereal Restaurant like CEREALITY or Cereal Bowl?

Which types of fast food chain cuisine do we sorely lack?

What are the...

Food and Drink GAPS IN THE MARKET: WHY U NO MAKE DIS?

Everyone I know who likes marmite likes to make it into a paste with butter and then spread it onto the bread. They have marmite everything, why not Marmite butter?

I hate the stuff, but I've made marmite sandwiches before and it makes sense :P

Why doesn't the UK have "American" cereals - e.g. Kellogs Corn Flakes, Frosted Flakes, Froot Loops etc?

I did, no longer do. Didn't see any of the American brands. I saw LOTS of obvious knockoffs - however I didn't see the "premium" brands

Also my gf made a point of buying Lucky Charms and Froot Loops when she visits because she can't get them in the UK

Have YOU seen them and possibly I am just just amazingly blind/ignorant?

Icecream parlours, it's not like you can invite a girl to get some icecream any more, girls like icecream. No lets all be adults and get coffee or drinks! Booo.

There are tons and tons of Kelloggs Corn Flakes and Frosties. A Supermarket/Newsagent without them is few and far between.

As for Fruit Loops, they are harder to find but most sweet shops sell them now.
