I've applied for journalism and journalism with media studies. Yeah, I have an unconditional for journalism with media studies at the moment, which I'm super happy about! I've been acknowledged for journalism single honours (which is my preferred course) but because the course is so popular, one of the entry requirements is submitting five pieces of work so they can see if you're good enough; got a month to do that and hopefully if they like me they'll give me an offer
but either way I'm definitely going to Pompey! Good thing about combined honours is that, at the end of the first year, I can transfer onto single honours journalism if I want 
(which I will do, if I don't get an offer for it!)
Just read that back and I don't think it makes any sense...
Basically, yes, I do have an unconditional, and will be going there!
I'm gonna go for criminology with psychology So happy now! Definately going to Pompey in 2012! X

I'm so happy someone else is so happy :') thought I was the only melt getting excited already ahaha! Do you know what halls you're gonna go for?

My application got sent off Tuesday morning and by Wednesday evening I already had an offer from Portsmouth! I'm in my third year at college after realising that Modern Foreign Languages were not for me, and that I should continue down the Social Science route! I have an offer for Criminology and Forensic Studies!! Its conditional on me getting a B in Sociology! I'm doing it fast track and so am doing the whole two year course in one year! I'm predicted an A so they must have faith in me!
I reckon I'll put Portsmouth as my first choice and will probably go for the Langstone Village just due to the popularity of Guildhall Halls; I don't want to be disappointed and not get any halls! Doesn't mean im not up for partying nearly every night! -

Re: Portsmouth Applicants 2012I'm thinking of applying to the BSc Geography course.. but I've got a query about the entry requirements. They ask for 280 points to include 180 from A levels and 80 points from A level Geog.. I got a C in Geog (8 marks off a B annoyingly) so 80 points for that, but my total points is only 220 (CCD)... does this mean there's no point in applying at all? Cause if they only want a C in geography why do they expect two B's in other subjects.

I've applied for Pharmacology as well as Biochemistry and Genome science. Both courses are what I wanted to do and when I went to Portsmouth I loved the place. -

One of best friends is there right now, and he loves it. Although for some lucky reason his kitchen is brand spanking new... the rest are all bleh, although not bad, just not all shiney and nice :')
I'm thinking of James Watson or Harry Law as well... did want to go to Bateson for the price, but the whole single sex flats put me off

Thank youuu & I'm really not sure! I have an offer from Winchester so I'd probably firm them unless I got an offer from Royal Holloway! It's all happening so fast! I'll probs make a proper decision when I hear back from all five.
