Higher maths past paper help. 2002 question 7

I'm looking for some help with the following question

a) express f(x) = x^2-4x+5 in the form (x-a)^2+b

b) Sketch the graph y=f(x)

The first part is fine. My problem is finding the roots of the graph.

Anyone out there that can help me ??

Right...so im guessing you completed the square and got

(x-2)2+1

There are no roots!

All you have to go on is that it cuts the y-axis when x=0

so, the graph cuts y-axis at the point (0,5)

You then draw your graph which should look something like this:
