I went to Taba Heights in Egypt in october. It was lovely and warm! (30 degrees where we went (don't know if it's the same in Sharm El Sheik) there was a constant sea breeze and it wasn't humid, so it was fantastic) Absolutely beautiful.

Please don't complain about the sea thing, the coral is VERY important and is PROTECTED. If you even so much as TOUCH it, it will die. I, for one, respect the Egyptians for wanting to protect such a treasure. You can easily go snorkelling off the jettys and it is truly beautiful, so many different kinds of fish!

I thoroughly recommend Egypt and hope I can go again one day

I loved Egypt. We went to Cairo and the surrounding areas, the Sphinx, Giza to see the pyramids. It rocked. I'd loved to go to Sharm al Sheikh though.

I went to Sharm last February - it's GORGEOUS. You have to try scuba diving while you're there, it's unbelievable. The nightlife is alright, but limited to the casino areas and in hotels. It's also pretty good for shopping - I bought 3 pashminas (really nice quality ones!) for the equivalent of £10 in total. Just be prepared though to have your bum pinched everytime a man walks past and to have people offering to give you things for free if you kiss them. In other words, handcuff your boyfriend to your side! It should be really hot too in September.

One thing though - I'd advise covering up a bit in markets or anywhere away from main tourist regions - not only will they regard you as a complete slut (even if you're just showing bare shoulders or thighs), but I once got whacked on the back of the legs by a old man because I was wearing shorts and 'displaying too much flesh'.

i volunteered in egypt on my year out...i saw mainly the inside of tuberculosis clinics and grotty flats housing poor sudanese refugees, so can't really say i saw the best egypt has to offer. I did see the pyramids and all that, tbh i thought they were hideous, though it is really hard to gauge how big they are as there's like nothing surrounding them. only when you get RIGHT up next to them can you see how big they are.

i visited sharm in april and it was BOILING. seriously. it's pretty, but yeah egyptians were quite leery and in general i don't like it as a holiday destination. but as i said i guess that's because i've seen a different side of it.

OH OH but the best thing is i got a lancome juicy tubes lipgloss for only 7 pounds at the airport in cairo  apparently that's the cheapest in the world, so wahey.
I haven't, but my brother and his then girlfriend went to sharm el sheik in 2014. :colonhash:
