I got the call yesterday. Have to get in touch with the exam boards and order replacement maths and english GCSE certificates as I dont know where mine are! Nice £70 thats going to cost and can take up to 28 days to come :frown: but nevertheless as soon as im in possession of them, I can go do my apritude!

As im female im pretty sure its 10 sit ups for me, 32 press ups , 13.23 2.4km and 7.02 MSFT.

Good luck!

it took them 6 weeks i think to get back to me!

and ive got my medical on 1st of august, and hopefully passing that will have my 3 dates for manston. Ive heard that the fitness tests are 20 pressups, 35 sit ups, 9.1 MSFT, and 2.4 km in 11.11 (im 17) and hose running, confined spaces and ladder leg locks, i was wondering if anyone who has previously been on the course could shed any light on the specialist interview or if we do have to do a presentation. I asked at AFCO and they said that the specialist interview would be very similar to the initial interview however with an officer. I am continuing to learn RAF bases in the UK, aircraft roles and locations, I hope this should be sufficient.

Thanks!!

Hi, your reply was really helpful, seen as you have been to mansion before was wondering if you know when you do the hose run do you have to run the hose out and then under run it before re rolling it?
Also when you say info on the RAF do you mean like the purpose the date they set up etc?
Any info would be great
thank you nick

When i went to mason the first time you have to do ladder climb, hose running you will need to run out and wind up minimum of 6 in 8 mins then the cages. the next day you have to do a presentation which is a 5 min chat about yourself but they give you the subjects. then a paper test about the RAF so get studying then bleep test press ups and situps. after this you have team work building then practicing for the interview the next day. 3rd day is interviews then home. Hope this helps i have mine next monday 22.07.13.

Ladies and Gents,

As a serving member of the RAF Fire and Rescue service, I will 'try' and answer any Q's you might have in relation to selection! I keep receiving emails for TSR and have noticed a few on here have questions un-answered! Let me know if I can help!!!

Regards
Chris
