Hi to all nurses, I have a room that will be available from the first of April. The house is on Small Lane so very close to the uni, it is a big double room with lots of furniture and TV cable. The house has a large front room with TV (license included), internet and a washer-dryer. all bill are included at £82 a week. living with 2 girls and a guy , the room will be available from the 1st of April to July when the contact finishes... unless resigned till next year.

You'll be fine, just be confident and really think why you want to do this and why you'll be great at it be prepared for a scenario as well

Hello again i'm planning on booking my flights soon and I was just wondering how long the interview process takes? Just so I know when to book my flight home Thanks x

Takes a few hours because they give a bit of a talk then you do your maths and english tests then you have to hang around for a bit while they do the individual interviews when is your interview? Best of luck x

Oh great! Which halls do you fancy? The more expensive ones look amazing but I think it's worth saving £40/£50 a week and going for the cheaper accom. Plus everyone says you meet more people in the cheaper halls

Don't worry, it's really relaxed and it's a nice experience
You'll have a maths and English exam, so take a calculator.
They're easy exams, 10 questions for maths (very easy, like 'what is 23x45?')
And the English exam involves an essay, you should write about 2 pages.

The interview is very relaxed, you'll have 1 or 2 people in the room with you and they just ask you questions like 'Why Adult Nursing? Do you have any experience? How will you cope with the University work load?'
And they'll be a hospital scenario, so just prepare some cases that can come up they won't be hard, just general stuff.

awww thanks i didnt think there would be an essay to write??? how long should i be in there my interview is at 8am

Mine was at 8am too. I was there until 12pm, it depends what time your interview is at. Some people were there until 1:30pm because they had later interviews

Oh dear really that long ???

what kind of questions do they ask ? and who interviews you is it one or two people ?

Yeah, it's like an hour induction, then your tests which take 40 minutes. Then you have a 20 minute break after it, then when you come back they just split you into groups and you go and wait until your interview, which is 20 minutes long

I was interviewed by two lovely and very nice women! So don't be scared

The questions I was asked were; 'Tell us about yourself' 'Why Adult Nursing, and not Child or mental health?' 'What skills do you think you'll need in University?' And my scenario was 'An old woman has had a stroke, and you are giving her a sponge bath when she starts to tell you she doesn't want it anymore. What should you do?'

I had my interview all went well i has two nice ladies and i got that scenario too

Hi Guys (: ok so ive an interview on the 11th ekkk!! Dont know what to look at first so if you's could help me i would really appreciate

Also in the booklet i got the english questions is

"Describe some reading you have done that has helped you to prepare to become a student social worker. Tell us about what you found interesting, why and what questions this reading raised for you"

But am not going to be a social worker because ive applied for nursing lol so do i just read up on social workers or nursing?? am so confused

I'm not entirely sure but I think all the Nursing interviews have finished. Do you think you may have accidentally applied for social work? I had a Nursing interview and we did not get any question like that - we didn't get a question in a booklet at all.

No i have an interview for nursing!! Was your interview at edge hill?? what questions did you get? How long did the whole process last when you went for your interview??

Yeah my interview was at Edge Hill. They just asked the general questions the interviewers were really nice. I was one of the first to go in so I wasn't there long but you're given an interview time straight away so that you can prepare, but you do the tests first. I was there about 2 hours. I didn't get given anything about social work and wasn't asked any questions related to social work either.

Am so stupid i opened the wrong booklet..it was a good job i checked again lol

What did you have to do in your English exam did like did you have to write an essay? was it hard?
My flight for going home is at 1pm so id need to be leaving edge hill at 11 to be in time for the flight so am hoping i can ask to go first and il be out in time :s
