    Ryan BABEL
    Bobby Zamora
    kEVIN DAVIES
    Andy Carroll
    Shevchenko
    Ballack
    Deco
    Carlo Ancelotti
He's only been at Liverpool since January and is still only 22.

    Alexander Hleb.

Moved to Barca from Arsenal, then was an absolute flop.

I'd say Flamini had a good deal more potential then was ever realised too.

Best shout on the page is definitely brazillian Ronaldo, epic player, but could have been better.
a debatable one, simply because he is arguably the best striker of all time, though without the injuries the he would be the best outright

Alan Smith, leeds striker not the Arsenal one. Such a great player for Leeds, but after a big money move to Man Utd he faded plus I think he was injured, bit of a shame..

Tomas Rosicky, injuries ruined him. Such a shame.

smith was converted to a DMF to replace roy kean by fergie, which he was pretty good at but he suffered a nastly leg break and discolated ankle and so didn't play for most of 3 years before moving to newcastle where he kept getting further injuries (think he broke the other ankle there)

    so no wonder he's faded

which Footballers have you seen that you think have got potential but have never quite reached their potential

i think Mark Davies has got quite good potential , he could be a good premier league midfielder but Coyle doesnt play him often enough
    Freddy Adu.

Made his MLS debut at 14, was training with the USA team at 15, and was touted as the next big thing in world football.

Moved to Europe, failed to get first team football, got loaned out, failed to perform, and is now playing in the lower leagues of a nothing nation in Europe.

And lol at people saying players who are early 20's like Nani and Walcott... FFS, they're still young, years from their anticipated peak, give them a chance.

Exactly what I'm thinking. Of course young players haven't reached their potential yet. Anyone who has played Football Manager or career mode on Fifa knows that!

    As for my list:
    Kieron Dyer
    Shawn Wright-Phillips
Owen (I know he was good but he could have been better for longer)
    Steve Harper!
