I've never put an x at the end of a message. EVER. Not even to a girl. It just seems so wierd and pointless to me. :dontknow:

I'm a girl and I rarely use kisses in any text messages, but I have some female friends who use 'xxxxxxx' or 'xoxo'. Then I feel a cold-hearted bitch and I am obliged to at least use one 'x' in my reply back.

But then I think it must look obvious and phony. I do love them really, I'm just emotionally unavailable
i understand what 'x' is but what the hell is 'o'? hugs?

Why is it that males will text another male a message and put a 'x' on the end of the text or a '<3'

What is the meaning of that? They love them? But if so, doesn't that mean...you know..
sometimes ill do that sarcastically. but not frequently.

My messages just feel incomplete without an x at the end, regardless of whom I'm sending it to..x

Must be love, love, love *dun dun* nothing more, nothing less, love is the best!

It's probably just friendly love...it isn't a coded messege that reveals a hidden, suppressed desire that only makes itself know through text.

A simple "x" does not stand for "I want you in my bed"

It's just sharing the lurveee (the friendly lurrvee)

I generally do it just to see whether it will weird them out. If they reciprocate I jack up the number of x's with each message to test their limit. x

I used to do this back when I was about 15 to check if the person I was texting secretly fancied me It actually worked more often than you'd think

I don't do it, as I find it slightly grating, but no it doesn't signify anything.

that's just gay, real men don't do it

(the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but...the truth)
Because "real men" are constantly afraid that their friendliness to other men might be misconstrued as sexual/romantic, and that might result in a situation where their sexual orientation is questioned?
