Re: Why do males text males this?it sometimes feels churlish to end on a full stop, also you must realise men only text in two situations:
- to chat up a woman -> lots of x's
- to sort something out with a woman -> lots of x's
- to sort something out with a man -> ???
so if they're sorting something out with a man they feel lots of pressure to put an x on the end because it seems very unfriendly if they don't because they're so used to it.
Or that's how I think anyway. it is an awkward moment though and it's only EVER one x. -

Re: Why do males text males this?It's just indicative of a close male relationship; it's not meant sexually, in the same way that girls send an x to their close girl friends, or a guy would send a single x to a girl that he isn't seeing. A singular x on its own is not sexual, but more than one is seen as more intimate.
