Re: Politics and IR Applicants 2012 Offer Thread
Jesus. I'd heard of grade inflation but this is ridiculous!
I graduated this year from Sheffield with a solid 1st class degree in IR and pol. I only needed ABB to get in, and it was consistently ranked in the top 5 uk politics courses (times had it #1 in 2008 when I started). -

Re: Politics and IR Applicants 2012 Offer Thread
Hello, fellow TSers.
The problem I am facing is whether to have an insurance choice or not. I mean, I am about to submit my UCAS application, and my choices include York, Sheffield, UCL, King's and Warwick all of which are quite demanding for Politics and IR courses...
Thus, I wonder whether I should have one less demanding choice? What university would you suggest for IR and Politics, which would be quite good but not so demanding in terms of entrance requirements? -
Re: Politics and IR Applicants 2012 Offer ThreadI've used Sheffield and Royal Holloway as my insurance choices but it depends on what you're predicted. Our school said that your insurance offer should be about 2 grades lower than your predictions ..... so if you're predicted A*AA then your insurance should be AAB.(Original post by Eastern)
