I did manage to make it to Mass, adoration and confession; thanks for asking. I felt reassured during Mass that God was there with me, even though I can't feel Him or His love. My confessor was lovely and is going to make an appointment to see me soon

oh... you can understand my jumping to conclusions then have you been to mass?
No, I'm Muslim, but I hope to go to church and stuff once we're married

If you have now been to mass a few times I suggest just saying hello to the priest after mass, assuming that as with most priests he greets parishioners after mass at the entrance.

There is a book called 'Catechism of the Catholic Church' or perhaps contact the Catholic Truth Society who publish a number of books. The CTS were useful in helping me find something to help a non-catholic friend whose son wanted some information about the catholic teaching on euthanasia.
    Hi barnetlad

Thank you for the advice and the book suggestion.

Yes I see the Priest after mass but I usually just smile and avoid talking to him (not because I don't want to, just that I feel a little awkward doing so). I will approach him when he is not busy next time.

[QUOTE=rac1;38483376]As far as i know there is no special sacrament for rejoining, you only need to go to confession.

    Guide to confession

You could also post this here somewhere.the site itself is a bit  sometimes, but at least half the people on there are converts and reverts.

    Thanks Rac1.

Will take a look at the forum and look into confession.

That's great! I think mother Theresa called that "spiritual dryness". I haven't felt particularly close to him recently. lots of love.

I'm sure He's there for both of us and that the feeling of closeness will come back in time. Hold on to your faith! :hugs:

You're welcome to attend Mass and other churchy stuff without being Catholic, you just can't receive communion. You can go up for a blessing though. You don't have to wait until marriage, I think is what was meant.

Hi everyone - It is me again!

I was wondering if the people here could give me some advice. I would dearly love to become an Alter Server. I am 18 years old and have never done anything like this before. Am I too old? I was thinking of bringing the matter up with a priest, but am unsure how to go about it? What exactly should I say?

    Many thanks everyone!

    God bless! xx

I don't think there's an age limit. The head alter server at my church must be at least 70, if not older :yep:

Thankyou, it didn't go well, I didn't do anything wrong but they rang my house and they don't want me back, I think God might be trying to tell me i have some other vocation.

    Yay
It does mean that you won't get to see young people this year, but that'd not necessarily a problem. It is a bit of a shame, but there's not much you can do.

Yep, just go to a priest. Also, if you're going to uni soon you could get involved there. There will probably be student servers there, especially if there's a student Mass.

It is definitely a shame  I'm just so grateful to be given a second chance tbh. Really wasn't expecting that :nah:

What plans for the summer, now that the year at SPEC is finished? You going on holiday?

Not finished yet. Still here until the 19th!
And none really. Probably going to Wales with the family, but I think I need to have an awkward conversation with them first. Might try and get a job over the summer or something. Still thinking things through a bit atm.

Ah OK! Well I hope you enjoy the last 10 days of what I'm sure has been a great year! :yep:

Is the awkward conversation related to the big thing we are meant to be praying about? :ninja: I hate awkward conversations. Praying it goes well for you

My rosary bracelet from Fatima had a pendant of Our Lady on it but it fell off some point last year, wouldn't stay on and eventually got lost.

Today, it has mysteriously reappeared, after several months! :eek3:

Just wanted to share with people who would appreciate how happy I am! :yeah:
