My rosary bracelet from Fatima had a pendant of Our Lady on it but it fell off some point last year, wouldn't stay on and eventually got lost.

Today, it has mysteriously reappeared, after several months! :eek3:

Just wanted to share with people who would appreciate how happy I am! :yeah:

wow, hope you don't lose it again :hugs:

Is there a specific teaching in the catholic church about feeling lost and losing your path in life. At the moment, I really feel very lost and alone and unsure about the path I am taking. What does the bible say and are there any particular references (or advice) which you would suggest?

I'm afraid I don't read my Bible enough to offer you advice regarding Scriptural passages that might help you When in doubt though, I always go by the WWJD method: "What would Jesus do?"

Perhaps if we know what exactly you're struggling with, we will be in more of a position to offer advice? :console:

Not finished yet. Still here until the 19th!
And none really. Probably going to Wales with the family, but I think I need to have an awkward conversation with them first. Might try and get a job over the summer or something. Still thinking things through a bit atm.

    (Original post by The_Lonely_Goatherd)
Ah OK! Well I hope you enjoy the last 10 days of what I'm sure has been a great year! :yep:

Is the awkward conversation related to the big thing we are meant to be praying about? :ninja: I hate awkward conversations. Praying it goes well for you
    hope it goes well!

i don't think there is a specific teaching maybe you'd like to read the prodigal son parable?

What are other people's views on Cardinal O'Brien's call for a referendum in Scotland on gay marriage proposals?

I'm not too sure what I think about it, tbh. Does the government consultation about gay marriage not cover Scotland too? In which case, I don't entirely see the need for a referendum? :dontknow:

i suppose not that many people heard about the consultation, the referendum thing was on the news on radio 2 this morning and i don't think (but i have a bad memory) that the consultation got that much coverage.

I feel a bit :dontknow: about the £100,000 campaign though. people are saying how "awful is that think how many people that could feed", but you could say that about any non-vital to survival investment like the olympic opening ceremony, or whatever.

    I was just reading this

    http://www.conversiondiary.com/2012/...ay-friend.html

last night i had a rosary next to me while sleeping (don't know if that constitutes treating sacramentals respectfully:confused:) and i had often thought the plastic was a bit strange since i got it as a gift from the Parish after 1stHC (7 years ago!). i woke up and noticed it was glow in the dark!

On Sunday I told a few family (together) that if i didn't get a place at uni I'd like to do a gap year with CAFOD. My grandma said "but you've got more to offer than helping people"
    What!:mad::eek:

I just graduated from my undergraduate institution. I'm now doing a postgrad course elsewhere, the dissertation for which is due on 30th August.

Tbh, I do see where those people are coming from when they say that. £100,000 is a sizeable amount of money. I don't think a campaign is particularly necessary either. All the information that would come from a campaign, could easily come from priests through their sermons :dontknow:

Have you read some of the comments on that blog entry? There are some strange people in the world

You lucky thing! I want a glow-in-the-dark rosary but haven't managed to find one yet :nah:

My mum sleeps with a rosary under her pillow. When my mental health is playing up, she tucks me up in her bed and presses the rosary against my head
