Anyone else got an interview for MMU Primary PGCE? Mine is on 23rd Nov 2011

I have also applied for Primary PGCE at MMU but not had anything back yet. When did you apply? Have they asked you to do anything in particular for the interview?

Hi Helen,

I've not received any paperwork yet; I phoned them yesterday and they said they are in the process of sending interview letters out. I applied through GTTR on 17 Oct and received a decision on 4 Nov.

How about you? A couple of my friends that applied at the same time as me haven't heard anything either, it could be with a different admissions tutor.

I'll let you know what we need to do for interview prep when the 'bumf' comes through.

The day I posted the above, I checked GTTR and I also have an interview on 23rd! Got an email through yesterday with the details. Doesnt look too bad compared to other threads I have read on here!

Have you had your info yet? I think it should be ok - just need to prepare!!!

It just updated on my gttr page that I have an interview, I'm so chuffed!
I don't know when the interview is though, the decision was put on gttr on the 11th, just wondering how long it took for your confirmation letter to arrive?

I got an email from the uni a couple of days after I found out through gttr. I got the email about 2 weeks before the interview date.

Can you clarify if there's a maths test involved in the interview at all? I was under the impression that there would be but on the interview outline it's not mentioned.

Hey a far as I know there isn't a maths test tomorrow but don't quote me on that

Hi,

No not yet, I remember they said they would phone the unsuccessful applications yesterday and then the successful applicants would find out within 5-10 days.

I Keep checking GTTR and email but it's early days yet.

30 maybe? We were split into three groups and there were 10 in my group so I'm guessing around 30ish.

I have not heard back either : ). I though they said if you have not got a place they would get back to you on the Thursday or Friday, and if you have a place they cannot tell you until Jan-Feb, you just can presume you have one?

Is that what anyone else was told, or did I miss some information?

Hi guys,
I rang up on Friday because I couldn't wait for no phone call any longer (does that make sense!!!???) - they said to me that I had been sucessful but they are awaiting the confirmation of the number of places from the TDA which will not be until Jan/Feb. They said on Wednesday that we were the first set of interview so it is done on a first come first served so basically if we have a place then we are safe!!

Really happy - its a massive relief! If you havent heard anything then just give admissions a call to put your mind at rest!

Congratulations, that's great news! Thanks for posting on here, I've been going insane.

So are they not confirming anything on GTTR or by email until Jan/Feb?

Surely, if we are safe then they should be able to confirm it for us, as like he said on the interview day, they're anticipating more than 30 places.

I am not sure - I think he said that but then later said 5-10 days!!!

I would give them a call if I were you - put your mind at rest! I am pretty sure that you would have heard by now if you hadn't got a place.

Yes, that's what I thought he had said- which is why I was confused as to how and when we'd find out.
