What does "Membership of Professional Institutes" mean on a job application form?

    It means are you a member of an organisation which represents a profession, often ot sets the standards for professional qualification and standards

    You are very unlikely to be unless you are something like a Doctor, Lawyer, Architect, Accountant etc

    Or an Engineer (mechanical, electrical, electronic, civil), or a Logistician, or a Nurse, or a Physiotherapist or lots of other professions.
