Hi Everyone, I've applied for Pharmacology too
I've applied to Bath, Cardiff, Southampton, Leicester (Physiology and Pharmacology) and Portsmouth.
Got 2 offers from Portsmouth and Leicester and just waiting to hear from everyone else!
Congratulations !!
Btw how long did they take to get back to you from Portsmouth ? -
Re: Pharmacology 2012oh im pretty nervous now :P sent it back on friday and congratulations for your offers(Original post by mporter1994)
Yes, I did - it's the equivalent of an interview for them, I think. It only took a few days after submitting the questionnaire to get an email saying I've got an offer (then a fortnight before they logged it on UCAS)

Re: Pharmacology 2012Portsmouth was my first one.. I think it was about 3 days after sending my application! they're pretty quick to reply(Original post by Shameemah)

Re: Pharmacology 2012I'm sure you'll be fine and there's nothing to worry about - I sent my application off before the Oxbridge deadline, which probably means I was able to be processed quicker. Thank you and good luck yourself.(Original post by chan3571)

Re: Pharmacology 2012
Hello!
I got BBBC in my AS Levels with the C in Biology and applied to do Pharmacology at Kingston, Hertfordshire, Leeds, Bath and Cardiff.
I've got offers from Leeds (AAA), Hertfordshire (BCC) and Kingston (CCC) and an informal interview for Bath on 7th Dec. Does anybody know what happens in an informal interview? I've read everything on it from TSR but I still don't know what to expect... -
Re: Pharmacology 2012When I went for mine at Bath, there was a talk from the Admissions tutor, a look around the campus guided by a student, lunch (each interviewee gets a free £3.95 lunch voucher!) and then an interview and lab demonstration (half of the batch do one whilst the other do the other, before swapping). They say informal...they're lying - it's an ordinary interview. Don't worry about it - I thought mine went hideously but they still gave me an offer(Original post by DineyDoll)

Re: Pharmacology 2012yes thats what happened to me i think my interview was really bad at reading cause they asked me a maths and chem question and i made silly mistakes i told him this is my first interview im nervous ! if you havE a bad interview but a good ps , reference and good predicited grades is that fine?(Original post by mporter1994)

did bath ask you maths or chem question or was it a relaxed interview
this is for pharmacy though but its still the same both courses
-
Re: Pharmacology 2012No, I didn't actually get any subject-specific questions - it was just about me. However, I did mention the YASS unit I did and some of the course content. Getting an interview means you've been filtered from at least some of the applicants and the interviewers shall respect that nerves are an issue. You cannot be sure that you've had a truly bad interview (although the other things shall definitely help your application).(Original post by otrivine)

Re: Pharmacology 2012
I've applied for Pharmacology at the University of Glasgow and a joint degree with Biochemistry at Strathclyde University. And I've also applied to a few other courses! I haven't heard back from any where yet, but fingers crossed! (yn)
I achieved AAAAB (chemistry, biology, english, history and maths respectively) at SQA Highers and I'm currently studying Advanced Higher Chemistry and Biology! Here's hope.

Has anyone got an offer from Leeds for BBB? It's quite annoying how you can be offered anything between AAA-BBB.
I've applied with BBBB (already done my Alevels), not heard anything just yet !
I'll let you know if I do haha -
Re: Pharmacology 2012Did you apply for Medical Pharmacology with a scientific route or medical route?(Original post by DineyDoll)

Re: Pharmacology 2012I've only had a confirmation email, havn't had any replies at all yet!Have you had an offer from Cardiff?(Original post by ElinMorgan)
Hey
I've applied for Medical Pharmacology at Cardiff too
I've applied to four medical schools as well so doing Pharmacology before moving on to postgrad medicine could be my back-up hopefully!
Have you heard anything from Cardiff yet?
Where/what else have you applied to?
Applied to Liverpool, Manchester and Bristol, all for pharmacology (as well as Cardiff) and Swansea for medical science which leads onto their graduate entry medicine programme,
Have you had any offers for medicine yet?
I always wanted to do medicine but I've had a lot of time off school due to illness, effecting my grades!
Are you from Wales by any chance? I am and your name suggests :P -
Re: Pharmacology 2012Sounds good! I've applied to Liverpool, Cardiff, Leicester and Nottingham. So far I've been invited to Liverpool for interview and that's next Monday...I'm nervous but I'm excited as well(Original post by Eliinorr93)
