Computin as only

Hello. I'm currently in year 11 and I'm considering doing Computing for AS only. Could you give me your impressions of the subject? Thankyou!! =)

It's fairly easy -- even if you're not that good with computers. I actually dropped out because my teachers were so terrible, but, the impression of my friends and I is that it's easy if you pay attention and get the work done.

Others may disagree.

Pretty useless subject tbh, doesn't teach you anything that can really be used within a job and if you go to uni after to study a computing subject you just end up going over the same stuff over a few lectures anyway. If you want to do computing at uni then doing maths is a much better idea.

It's not too bad. But only do it if you enjoy programming. Most people in my college dropped it after AS.

I actually plan to drop it after AS in order to concentrate on my other subjects (triple science, maths, fm and critical thinking(only A2)). Thank you guys :smile:
