    Waterloo Road criticisms.
I need some examples of Waterloo Road criticisms.
For our school assessment we need to humorously write an article about a programme we loathe. If anybody has any good lines/points that might help, please feel free.

recycling the same sort of story lines over and again from series to series.
the teachers spend more time out of lessons chasing the pupils around than in lessons actually teaching.
teachers heavily involved in the pupils lives- this would never happen irl.

Can't think of much else because i haven't watched in a while, as it is basically a huge pile of ****.

Teachers seem to obsess over 1 or 2 pupils for a week or two while the rest politely keep their problems until it's their turn to be noticed, and then everything happens at once for that one person.

I dislike how the preview of the following week's episode is a HUGE SPOILER!

i quite like the show but it annoys me that you watch a character for 5 years or so then they disappear without any explanation of where they went, or what happened to them. It alaso doesnt follow the correct school system, apply to uni in year 12, study 4 subjects at AS, go to uni after results in year 13 etc, they seem to just disappear mid year and they've gone to uni.

Events that happened in the previous episodes are just forgotten and never mentioned again.

oh and this too, this really annoys me, like how lindsay got arrested, then we find out 2 years later she went to prison and is being released.

    - No original story lines
    - Acting is crap to say the least
    - Storylines are 'dropped' in the middle/soon forgotten about
    - It has a touch of the ERs - that is, something INCREDIBLY serious is happening every two minutes
    - Nowhere near realistic
    - Most of the teachers are borderline negligent/paedophilic/retarded
    - Far too much convolution of teacher/pupil boundaries
    - It's still on TV.

Completely unrealistic show. In real life, this school would have been shut down seasons ago!

    1) It's very unrealistic and therefore patronising. Not every teen is an idiot.

    2) There is no good character. By that I mean there is no person that if you knew them in real life, you would respect them. Every character is an idiot, nobody is wise. Except perhaps for that grumpy witty old man teacher, who's stupid sometimes, genius in other situations. The characters are just so terrible really...

The exceptionally high student turnover rate! Also how teachers somehow always end up miraculously 'saving the day'- very unrealistic.

one of the main criticisms people have is that some of the storylines happen and then never get mentioned again and every back to normal straight afterwards

It could be good, but is done in a unrealistic way.

I think the direction is quite childish, maybe it's audience arefor 14 year olds :dontknow:

The teachers are heavily involved in the students lives.

+Head master giving student painkillers which a doctor probz prescribed to him.

    +Acting is poor.

+Very unrealistic, to much action not enough exclusion after terrible acts.

+Teachers spend most of there time chasing students who go off site (happens on average once every 2-3 episodes.

+Story line SUC.KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKS, certainly no consistency. They tend not to leave allot of cliff hangers, so there pretty much a new story every episode.
