Re: Download 2012It won't be camping, just arena only(Original post by hobo06)
Just in time, camping tickets expected to sell out within the next 24 hours!
perks of living only a short bus ride away from Donny :P

but, they sold out a few hours ago, so no point me trying to convince you :P
Coaches you can book through National Express, maybe some other companies too, but needs to be done in advance I think. Not sure how prices compare to train though. Coach will take you straight to the festival, train station I think is a bit of a way from it, though they probably run a shuttle bus to and from it. I'm driving up from Kent so not had to look into it.(Original post by ICanHasHenny)
For all those travelling from London, how you getting there? Is there a coach going up there, or are trains cheap enough? -
Re: Download 2012Don't know if it's any quicker/cheaper/easier for you, but if you get off at the stop after Derby (Long Eaton) you can get onto the Trent Barton Skylink bus which runs all the way to East Midlands Airport, and that obv isn't far from Download.(Original post by ICanHasHenny)
Cheers =]
Probably going to get the train to Derby, then getting coach to Donnington Castle. So looking forward to DEVIN TOWNSEND!!!!
Any predictions for last minute dropouts anyone? -
Re: Download 2012Good luck putting up with Lamb Of God whilst you're waiting for BLACK ****ING SABBATH.(Original post by ManBeast)
Looks like I'll be in front of the main stage on Sunday all day... -
Re: Download 2012Yeah I only know one of their songs. Kyuss Lives! and Soundgarden are the main bands for me on that day!(Original post by TheDefiniteArticle)

What's wrong with Lamb of God?? -
Re: Download 2012exactly the same!(Original post by ManBeast)
Yeah I only know one of their songs. Kyuss Lives! and Soundgarden are the main bands for me on that day!
nice to know i'm not the only one there for those two.
really hoping the crowd gets going for SG. i couldn't bear rusty cage with people taking photos. -
Re: Download 2012I was gonna bring a banner that has 'Limo Wreck' on it in the hope they play it, although I think I'll do that for Hard Rock Calling instead.(Original post by fnm)

Don't want to have to squeeze myself from the front before Black Sabbath start. -
Re: Download 2012Haha, that's amazing, seriously? I may bring one with Head Down on it then... yeah Superunknown is probably my favourite album of all time along with Angel Dust (FNM)...going to see Patton and co a month after Download sunday, amazing month.(Original post by ManBeast)

I'm praying for an Sabbath into the void collab too...Matt on drums and Chris singing.
Was thinking of going to HRC too, but not sure I can afford it. -
Re: Download 2012Same thing that's wrong with Pantera. They try to appeal to the swathes of 'alt' teenagers left from the ultimate demise of nu metal (although admittedly this is not synonymous with Pantera for obvious reasons) and ultimately just rely on massive dumb**** grooves with no real substance but angst to suck in their target audience.(Original post by Guitarded)

Re: Download 2012Yeah I'm not sure if I would have gone to Download if they had already announced Hard Rock, will be good for the longer setlist though!(Original post by fnm)

I'm seeing Faith No More in July also, Hammersmith or Brixton? -

Well I bought a ticket for HS because I thought that was their only date, got a seated one. Lol, as you know, 2 hours later I bought 2x standing for Brixton. Probably gonna sell the HS ticket. -

Just saw their set at RaR, the crowd was terrible...literally just standing. If it's like that at DL I'm gonna cry.
