haha I know they're a little too happy when marking down Acceleration but everything else is easy to get 5s!

Add your parents as named drivers and put the miles they drove last year in. Put your miles down quite low. No point putting 6K miles if you're only going to drive 2K a year.

that car is so damn ugly, are you south asian by any chance  only those young asians drive those kitted up cars
ugly? that's your opinion keep it to yourself. Besides it's a honda, its automatically, mechanically and in build quality a great car for anyone to have........would love to see what your driving if you have such a view + the car isn't kitted up at all don't give such input if you don't know your facts. The car looks like this by default, it's an s-type standing for sport so it comes like this straight out the factory and their identical to the type-R's........im not south asian so shove that comment somewhere else, im not even asian full stop. If you must know my ethnicity i'm white middle-eastern but it's irrelevant anyway. For the record, I'm yet to even see a young south asian affording to legally drive a honda civic unless its been stolen, it's not his and it belongs to a older family member, or he pays no tax or insurance and is going out on a chav joy-ride in which i hope he gets arrested.....it's stereotypes like this that ruin the status of such quality built cars, your silly to let these things mould your judgement , drive any honda for yourself and you'll understand why it's obviously a good car.

Hmm that does look pretty modified tbh... I reckon you're better off trying another insurer cause in the event that Co-op decide to cancel your premium your money is nun-refundable.
it's not modified, it comes like this manufacturers default for the s-type civics and type-r's although the alloy wheels are custom ones in terms of design but thats pretty much it........thanks for the advice though =]

hey now! i didnt say Honda civics are BAD cars, they are actually the most reliable cars, my dad has his one, im only 17 passed months back, honda civic saloon was my first car loved it, but that model/modifications to it make it look ugly, that is my opinion though , I've got an unmodified VW Golf at the moment, fun to drive that too,

how fast are you accelerating? im thinking of moving to this because of the price but the acceleration is putting me off, i love a quick start off, and over taking a bus requires hammering down the acceleration, let me know what scores you get after overtaking!

I get lower than that some days, it's quite....random lol. Although keeping 5's on the other three is easy as anything. I have had my 5 avg for over 3 months now

I like a quick start off too, makes gear changing easier.

Also if you don't get moving quickly after the lights go green you get these pricks honking at you.

Couple days ago after a very **** day of driving, the moment the light went green (there wasn't even an amber it was just the arrow green to turn left) a bus driver honked immediately that pissed me off ¬__¬

Mine is even worse, I wouldn't worry about it i think my problem is that I live in an area with lots of speed bumps, followed by driving a diesel I get a bit of lag and once it get's going all the torque kicks in but I don't think that is the contributing factor I have tryed everything, even spent a day driving around my area very slowly, breaking and accelerating very slowly and to check the dashboard the following day it scored me a 3 on my breaking and acceleration

When people say they are paying "X" amount as a second driver, is the price that the first driver has to pay generally higher than this amount? Sorry, I didn't word that very well, I'm just a bit confused.

They are second driver for 2 reasons...
    1. They don't own the car, their parents drive it more so they will be 'named driver' and drive it occasionally.
    2. Most are second drivers because YES it is too expensive to be first.

Glad it's not just me then. Though it's kinda gay cause if I go out at night my average score would be much lower thanks to Accel/braking.

Yeah, I understand this but I was wondering how much more the first driver pays. So for example if a named driver (17 years old, 1.2 litre car) pays 900 as a named driver how much, roughly, would the first driver pay.

Its all under one policy, so it will be the first driver who will pay the e.g £900 and this will then allow the second driver to drive 'free' as the first driver is paying

Defintely, I would be able to go out after 11 if it wasn't the Acceleration/breaking.
