Re: Cooperative Young Drivers Insurance - Is any1 insured by them?no lol, it's still not there :/ I am actually quite annoyed at that lol(Original post by thefunktopus69)
Doctor, has your "Road Type Usage" thing kicked in yet?
Mine still hasn't and I've had this box for two months now! -
Re: Cooperative Young Drivers Insurance - Is any1 insured by them?I called them today and increased the older drivers mileage to 7000 miles each, got a refund for £880.00, OMG! I'm so happy! Thanks a lot Doc!!(Original post by Doctor.)
I've not got a clue, I just did a bit of messing about with the numbers and singled out what was actually bringing down the price.
I guess you can try giving them a call, but I really dont have a clue. If anything, least next year youll be getting REALLY cheap insurance when adding your 1 year NCD!
Dont beat yourself up about it, just.look at the bright side of it all
but there is a small thing to be worrying about, the lady told me that if the older didn't do that much mileage this could invalidate the insurance bit scared -
Re: Cooperative Young Drivers Insurance - Is any1 insured by them?that's pretty sweet tbh lol. Also there isn't such a thing that can invalidate the insurance if you don't drive that much mileage in the NEXT year. The question clearly asked about how much you estimate that they drove in the past.(Original post by Jkf1192)

Basically, they're full of crap. It's not fronting and not lying in anyway. If anything it's being truthful

Re: Cooperative Young Drivers Insurance - Is any1 insured by them?Means I have saved for other people like 4/5k total lololol(Original post by Jkf1192)

Re: Cooperative Young Drivers Insurance - Is any1 insured by them?
**** it.
I'm gonna give this insurance a go.
I really hate the idea of being monitored constantly, afterall I passed the test to avoid just that. But my car's outside and calling my name, so at this point. I give in.
But the only thing that bothers me is the possibility of it going up because of driving at night. That's actually the most likely you're going to drive when public transport dies down.Last edited by Yawn11; 04-01-2012 at 15:58. -

Re: Cooperative Young Drivers Insurance - Is any1 insured by them?I bought it! Paying £1220 with my as main driver and mum as second. Which is massively cheap compared to the quotes I got with mum as first driver.
Box gets installed in 9days.
Had a nice time driving to car wash, getting inside and outside cleaned, and even bought some floor mats.
Was good till on my way home a woman gave me a hand signal, I thought she was cursing me, but when I got home I realised I forgot to switch my lights on

I put myself as named driver lol, mines only £1000 which tbh isn't bad. After a year or two, you'll get really cheap insurance and you can get off the Young Drivers policy!. I'm planning on switching to the main Co-Op policy after 2 years lol.
i feel sorry for the kids who pay like 5/6k a year....And that being named driver lol -
Re: Cooperative Young Drivers Insurance - Is any1 insured by them?Really doubt you'll get it tbh, unless you put a parent/gaurdian as main driver, and they give up their no claims bonus for you.(Original post by nirajm34)
Hey can you help me too, im 17 and i need cheap insurance, liek £1000 a year or less, anyone have any companys or tips? thanks
Even then, then it's unlikely to be under a grand.
My mum wouldn't part with her NCB for me, stingy git.

Re: Cooperative Young Drivers Insurance - Is any1 insured by them?I have heard that people do that by putting parent as main driver, but I'm not sure why company people have gone for, some people have said to me also that they got it for £1000 so any help here ? thankss(Original post by Yawn11)
