Re: I can see my heart.
I'm sorry to be a jerk, but this is made up. No matter how extremely thin you are, you couldn't see your heart, because there is opaque tissue and bone between your heart and the surface of your skin. You would need to have transparent skin, bones, muscle and flesh in order to be able to see your heart, no matter how thin you are.

Re: I can see my heart. It's not your heart, that's for sure. As other people have said, there is no way you could see your heart, no matter how skinny you are. You have ribs and a sternum infront and around your heart, both opaque bone, you also have the skin, your lungs and all the blood/veins etc. Basically, there's no way you could see it.(Original post by Anonymous)
Jesus, What else could it be ?!?!? Could be a shadow or something, omg thats made me feel alot worse.
Also you know, the fact that your heart beats every second or so, you know, it moves and your dark patch doesn't, is a pretty strong indication that it's not your heart. I'm at a loss as to how you could have thought it actually was.
I don't know what it is. But it isn't normal and for that reason, you should get it checked, irrelevant of how long you've had it. -
Re: I can see my heart.
OP, calm down.
Judging by your height and weight you are thin.
Therefore, as your heart beats its going to cause movement in your chest wall.
Therefore as your chest wall expands its going to show through your skin as your skin forms it shape around your internal structure if you are thin. If you are fat then its formed around that.
Surely you would have been told this in GCSE Biology? This is basic level science.
You have nothing to worry about and your tests you've done on yourself seem fine.
If you have problems such as chest pain though then urgently see a doctor as that could be any number of things from angina to an up and coming heart attack.
Also, i believe your main issue here is putting on some weight. I suggest you bulk up a bit. My advice would be to take heavy gain protein shakes and to lift weights (squats, deadlifts, bench press, military press, barbell curl, etc.)
All of this will help you bulk out, make you healthier as a whole and more fit. All the best and stop worrying. You can only see the movement because you're so skinny and need to put on weight.
