I'm currently a final year student studying IBE at Aston. I'm really concerned about my exams and ending up with a 2:2.

    If I did happen to get a 2:2 :-

    1) Would I be able to repeat my final year?
    2) Would I still be able to receive student loans/grants based on the fact I will be living in birmingham? (In other words, away from home)
    3) Would aston be able to offer me accomodation again? (I am currently living on campus)

Really going through some immense stress which is seriously going to affect performance on exam day. I'm seriously worried.

Any chance you could apply for extenuating circumstances? Not sure if they'd grant it but you never know.

Don't think stress would cover it. Looked at the conditions for extenuating circumstances.

    Hi Karen,

Is it possible for students to choose a module from another subject area at Aston? For example, if I was to study BSc German, would I be able to choose an elective module in Business or another subject area?

    Thanks if u could help.

    Hi H.JJJ

    Hello

Thanks for your question. On the course you have chosen, no you cannot elect to do buisness modules. There is a course called International Business and Modern Languages (IBML) which combines language and business which maybe something you'd wish to consider if you haven't already.

    Kind regards

I have been rejected by Aston University, I called up in order to ask them if they can reconsider my application. I received an email, luckily they have agreed to reconsider my application, however, it has already been over a week since I have received this e-mail and I still haven't heard back from them. Is Aston really likely to re-consider someone's application once it has been rejected as I am currently really worried and stressed out.
Any advice would be really appreciated at this time, thank you.

It's really difficult to answer this question without seeing your application. I'm sure the response will come through soon. Please contact the admissions office directly for advice.

    Kind regards

Ive accepted an offer to study biomedical science at Aston in September and I have just received the email about the opportunity to take place in the languages for all programme in my first year. I was just wondering if I would be able to fit both into my workload? The opinions on how much you have to do for biomed differ loads with regards to things such as extra reading and actual lecture/lab sessions. Basically is the work load really heavy or would I have plenty of time for both?

I'd phone them if you can. I really doubt that would affect your application if you get in quickly.

Yeah I figured, I didn't mean phone them instantly by saying phone quickly. Just make sure you do it before term is over.
