how do i make more friends here? should i use her?

I've moved to a new city to start working around 4 months ago. The job is good but I work quite late and as a result the few friends I have are at work. They are a bit older than me though and I'd like friends around my age. Last month, 5 girls interned at my workplace for a month and I talked a bit to one of them$ I added her on facebook and we've spoken a couple of times, she has a boyfriend so I'm not interested in her in that way but she is my age and if I get to be friends with her, I think I could be able to meet more people my age. How do I do that though? I don't know her at all, very little and as she has a bf, I can't just ask her if shed like to hang out sometime
