IELTS conditional offers deadlineHello,
I was wondering if I try to send my applications for postgraduating studies in UK, but havent IELTS/TOEFL scores yet (since I wont be able to be examed for the next few months) is there still a chance to be given a conditional offer? If so, how soon will I have to send them the results of my scores? Before the last day of the applications deadline (lets say before May), or just before the courses begin? (lets say during the summer months)
Do they tend to give advantages to an application that already has english language scores vs an application with no IELTS/TOEFL results yet? -
Re: IELTS conditional offers deadline
I think I've read somewhere that "having no IELTS score should not stop you from applying", etc. I think it was Cambridge who said that explicitly, that they would be happy to give you an offer anyway, of course on condition that you pass such a test. I'm not sure if it's like that with all universities though. Also, many application tools (again, Oxbridge at least) let you submit things even after you submit the final application. So, go for it!

Re: IELTS conditional offers deadline
Definatly apply anyway - mention that you have taken the IELTS and are waiting for your score. I know International & European students who did not have their results before the deadline, and the top UK universities they applied to sent them conditional offers anyway (usually admittance on the condition of getting an IELTS score of 6.5 or 7 at the very minimum).

You have to meet youroffer by August 31st -
Re: IELTS conditional offers deadline
Your offer itself may contain information about a deadline. Usually you should have satisfied all your conditions before you are one or two weeks into your program. Some unis will provisionally enroll you till you have met all your conditions. You may want to check with the uni itself though.

Re: IELTS conditional offers deadlineThat's for undergraduate, and your original post states you're postgrad. You'd need to check with the university.(Original post by zetty)

Re: IELTS conditional offers deadlineOoops, my mistake -- while going through several threads I didn't notice this one was about postgrad (but I'm not the OP, I'm applying for an undergrad study).(Original post by Juno)
