    hahaha im actually reading the book 3 times so that my brain is the book!! and im going crazy with so much information and especially unit 2 is a chaos so many topics in one unit! by the way 079 can i ask how do you measure oxygen uptake in a spirometer cause i read the book it says about this soda lime absorbing co2 and the oxygen left in the chamber is used to calculate the oxygen uptake? may thanks
    dont try to memorise too much, as long as you understand the concept then it will become 100000 times easier to learn key words etc

    Oxygen Uptake:
    The soda lime absorbs Carbon dioxide.
    Volume of carbon dioxide absorbed by soda lime = volume of oxygen used up

    so to measure it you look at the difference between two points on the curve and divide by the time (it gives an example on p. 51)

    Get the checklist from OCR...
    That will tell you EVERYTHING you nned to know for the exam...

    Whatever way you revise; tick off each bllet point once you know how to answer/complete it

    Are these suitable or too short?

    1.1.1 b

    Magnification: the degree to which the size of the image is larger the object itself.
    Resolution: the degree to which it is possible to distinguish between two points.

    The problem with revising from mark schemes is the stuff that has never come up in past exams is most likely to come up in this exam. Whilst looking at mark schemes is good for improving exam technique I don’t think it’s the best way to revise the content.
    If it works for you though carry on with it, just make sure you don’t miss things. And I can’t possibly say how many you need to go through to pass, it depends entirely on the individual.

    Getting confused with chromsomes/chromatids/meoisis.
    I know the definitions of meiosis/mitosis, but I've seen that many diagrams I'm confused as to what things are.
    Like, the cross shape you see, is that ONE chromosome? Or is 1 strand ONE chromosome?
    And what happens in meiosis?

    Thank you so much guys!

    Well I know for sure that in resolution you HAVE to mention "detail", so I would say: The degree to which it is possible to distinguish the detail between two near points.

    Mark scheme says this (for 2 marks):
    - ability to see (two) objects (that are close together) as separate objects / AW ;
    - see detail ;

    ----

    ACCEPT ability to distinguish two objects
    IGNORE clarity / clear
