Ah no way, I think I'll go for Stafford in that case, isn't it like £30 pound (per week) cheaper than new build or something like that?
Looks like £43-51 cheaper per week. £200 a month or £1600-£2000 cheaper for the academic term.

    http://www1.aston.ac.uk/study/accommodation/roomprices/

    Weekly Rents
New Residences - En-suite 5 bed unit with shared kitchen facilities
    £129.00
New Residences - En-suite 7 bed unit with shared kitchen facilities
    £121.00
Lakeside - En-suite unit with shared kitchen facilities
    £116.00
Stafford Tower - Standard with washbasin in room, shared bathroom and kitchen facilities
    £78.00

Nor does your house (OK that's a guess, but probably a good one). You've got a bathroom in your flat and there's multiple facilities so it's really not an issue. Plus it's not like you're sharing with random people, it's between your flat. Stafford is a lot better then Lawrence was, we had one shower (well two showers in one cubicle..) between 12. It's all good fun

If it's between lakeside and a 7 bed new residence, I'd pay the extra £5. Lakeside is old in comparison and whereas Stafford is well worth it for a £40-50 weekly saving, lakeside isn't worth it for £5.

The thing is, at home, we share it with our family. I'd get screwed at badly if I made a mess in the bathroom, so I clean up and so does everyone else. At uni, we'd be sharing it with complete randoms initially (with time, will become friends) but either way we don't know what their habits are like yet, and it could get pretty bad (especially in Stafford where they cram about 10+ people in?)

Just saying, I'm heading to Lakeside for definite :P

Your call, but I think you'll find no such problems in Stafford TBH.

Still don't understand why you would pick lakeside over new build? Lakeside isn't nearly as nice and the price difference is marginal.

Yeah I just noticed that actually, I guess it'll be New build 7 bed and then Lakeside 2nd then. I did like New build when I viewed it on the open day

There's a price difference of £195 between The New build 7 bed and lakeside.

One can do many things with £195

if money wasn't an issue, would u go for the new build 5 bed or new build 7 bed??

just to recap new build 5 offers a slightly bigger bedroom and bathroom and also a 3/4 size bed instead of a single one..
