How much written work is involved in doing a pure maths degree?

For those of you who are or have studied Pure Mathematics as a degree - How much written work is involved?

Apart from taking lecture notes not very much at all.

In most cases 90-100% of a maths degree is down to a number of end of year exams.

Go on a university web-site and look at some past papers e.g. google 'imperial maths past papers'. Whilst you might not be able to understand what to do you wil see the type of question. Most questions are a piece of book work i.e. prove something; followed by an example using what was proved above.
